The Shimano XTR PD-M9100 Race Pedals sit at the top of Shimano's MTB pedal range — built for cross-country, gravel, and cyclocross riders who need a reliable, low-weight platform that performs in demanding conditions. The aluminum body keeps weight in check while the chromoly steel spindle handles the torque loads that hard efforts demand.
The pedal's rounded edges and cylindrical contact area are designed to shed mud rather than pack it in — a detail that matters when you're clipping in and out repeatedly on a technical course. Retention tension is adjustable via a hex screw at the rear of each pedal, letting you dial engagement to match your preference without complicating cleat release. Two spindle length options — standard and 3mm shorter — give you the ability to tune your stance width to fit your biomechanics rather than adapting to whatever comes in the box.
