Group 3 Herbicide

Battalia 435 Herbicide is a pre-emergent herbicide containing 435g/L of the active ingredient Pendimethalin. It is registered for the control of Summergrass, Crowsfoot Grass and Wintergrass in a range of warm and cool season turfgrass species. This formulation of Pendimethalin is a proven performer and offers an economical and reliable option for pre-emergent weed control for turf and irrigation channel situations.

Key Features

  • Offers an economical form of pre-emergent weed control for turf and irrigation channels.
  • Low chemical scheduling (Schedule 5 – Caution), lower PPE requirements.
  • High loaded formulation, 435g/L.
  • Good turf safety characteristics, when used on established, high cut turf situations.
  • Predictable residual performance with a half life of around 30-40 days.
  • Reduced hydrocarbon solvent loading in the product, over some other forms of pendimethalin.
  • Low solubility and very high soil binding capacity, offering limited leaching potential.
  • No withholding period.
  • Possesses useful tank mix compatibility with other herbicides. Stable in a pH of 4-9.
  • Available in HPDE drums.

Maximising Performance:

  • Apply prior to germination of weeds.
  • Weed Germination Temperature Ranges are as follows:
    • Winter Grass: 10-150C
    • Summer Grass: 12-150C
    • Crowsfoot: 16-180C
    • Soil Temperature based off daily average (9am temp + 3pm temp / 2)  at a 10cm depth.

Mode of Action

Pendimethalin, the active ingredient in Battalia 435 is a member of the dinitroaniline (DNA) herbicide Group 3 (previously Group D). The primary mode of action of Battalia 435 Herbicide is to inhibit microtubule formation in cells of susceptible weeds which are an important part of the cell division process. As a result of restricted cell division, growth of the emerging weed seedling is prevented, eventuating in death due to lack of available food reserves. Because Battalia 435 does not translocate a great deal from the site of uptake within the plant, it is necessary for the emerging weed seedling’s roots to absorb pendimethalin from the soil. Pendimethalin binds to organic matter and clay materials and primarily stays within the top few centimetres of soil. Selectivity in turf is caused by differences in germination depth of susceptible grass seedlings that absorb the pendimethalin in the top layer of soil, compared to the growing points in the turf’s roots system that is at a greater depth and is unable to uptake the pendimethalin.

Not completely indestructible but definitely long-lasting with plastic bits everywhere
Color: 1PC-Beef-Red
It's destructible it just takes a long time and tons of tiny little plastic pieces everywhere and even in your dog's stomach would not recommend due to wear and tear on dog's teeth and the plastic chips off.

Great Product!!!
Color: 1PC-Beef-Red
This is the first toy my dog has not demolished. I need to buy more just like it just in case something happens to this one. It's worth every bit of the money I spent on it.

Yes, it will get destroyed. No, it isn't a waste of your money.
Style: Animal Sound, Size: Medium
Okay, I just wanted to say I've bought this item three times even tho my huge super chewer dogs inevitably destroy it, and here's why: It's NOT a chew toy! Pretty much *ANY* toy will not survive a strong chewer unless it is made from an indestructible material, and indestructible materials are often dangerous for doggy teeth. The noises this thing makes entices dogs to be extra violent on it. The trick is, you need to supervise them with the toy and if they move from chasing/bouncing it to "gnawing furiously" remove it and replace it with a safe treat toy to chew on (like a rawhide or antler, or a kong stuffed with frozen/difficult to remove treats) to satisfy their chewing needs on a safer item. This will extend the life of the toy. This way, the only damage it takes is from them mouthing/throwing it, which is what it is designed to withstand. This method is the only safe way to play with just about any play toy if you have SUPER chewers. There are many toys out there that will last longer, however, this one makes noise and that is super valuable to enrich your dogs' life. In essence, you're paying (insert current price of this item) to get several hours of SUPERVISED play time out of this toy over the course of several months. As far as noise makers go, this is only one of two toys I have found to hold up long enough to be worth the price. Go for it.

Such short fun!
Style: Animal Sound, Size: Medium, Style: Animal Sound, Size: Medium
So it lasted one evening. The concept is great and I expected this one to last much longer because of the tire cover. It stopped making noises about 3 hours after I opened it. Keep in mind they slept for 1 of those hours and went for a walk came back and played but ignored it because it stopped making noises. I've attached a photo. Keep in mind it arrived yesterday, gave it to the dogs at 6:30 pm. By 9:30 pm, it was done. I would expect this level of damage from a larger dog, but I have two mini Aussies. Only one of them would go near it. I also wouldn't care if the tire part got a little wear and tear but this is extremely short playtime. I also purchased the ball. It still works, so I may have gotten a defective one. Not sure. I'll return and try again. I posted a photo because the boy dog was totally into it. The plain ball that talks is a HUGE hit. It got lost but suddenly responded to their noises. It was so funny. I'll have to write a review for the plain ball.
