🌱 Description
- Shape & size: It forms small, clumping rosettes (4–6 inches tall). Over time, the rosettes can stack and spread, forming attractive clusters.
- Leaves: Bright green with white, tooth-like serrations along the edges—hence the name Tiger Tooth. The leaves often turn reddish or bronze when exposed to full sun or stress (which actually looks beautiful).
- Texture: The leaves are firm, slightly translucent, and covered with small white spots.
- Flowers: Produces tubular, coral-red or orange flowers on tall stalks, typically in summer.
🌞 Light Requirements
- Bright light to full sun is ideal.
- Indoors: place it near a south- or west-facing window.
- Outdoors: it can tolerate full sun but appreciates a bit of afternoon shade in very hot climates.
💧 Watering
- Water thoroughly but infrequently—let the soil dry completely between waterings.
- Overwatering is the main cause of problems (root rot).
