Anthurium crystallinum 'Dorayaki' is a compact selection distinguished by its rounded, thick-textured leaves and pronounced silvery-white venation. The foliage has a soft, velvety surface that reflects light, giving the plant a subtle sheen. Emerging leaves are often flushed bronze or reddish before turning deep green as they mature. Like its parent species, which is native to the moist tropical forests of Panama and Colombia, it thrives in consistently humid conditions with good air movement and shaded light. Its growth habit is slower and more compact than typical forms of A. crystallinum, making it well suited to indoor or terrarium culture where space and humidity can be controlled.

Care Tips

  • Light: Provide bright, diffused light; avoid direct sunlight which can mark the leaves.
  • Water: Maintain evenly moist conditions, reducing watering slightly during cooler months.
  • Humidity: Requires high humidity; mist or use a humidifier to keep levels above 70%.
  • Temperature: Maintain warm temperatures between 18–28°C and avoid cold or stagnant air.
  • Fertiliser: Apply a diluted, nitrogen-balanced fertiliser during the active growing season.
  • Media: Use an open mix of orchid bark, perlite, and sphagnum moss to support aeration and moisture retention.
  • Repotting: Refresh the growing medium every one to two years or when roots become crowded.

Super tough & Great squeak!
Pattern Name: Chipmunk
This Zippy Paws chipmunk is perfect for a small to mid-size dog. Our cocker and mini-poodle are hard on theirs and it holds together when other toys are in shreds within a few minutes. We have purchased several over the years.

same toy after all these years
Pattern Name: Skunk
i bought this toy from burlington coat factory 7 years ago for my dog when he was a puppy, he recently lost it at the park and this was a perfect replacement. took 2 weeks to arrive but he would say it’s worth it.

Annoying sound but DOGGY TOY JOY!!
Pattern Name: Skunk
My 14 month old is squeaker OBSESSED, but she easily does surgery and defluffs. However this toy has been perfect. The sound when you shake is over the top and creates so much excitement. She loves to chase and chew this and play tug with this, and no tears from tug or points where she's tried to excise squeaker so far!

Great toy loved by 3 big dogs
Pattern Name: Skunk
We have a black lab and 2 grandpups (a Great Dane and a Cane Corso) that visit regularly. All 3 love this toy. All 3 destroy toys pretty quickly, sometimes within minutes. I have no idea what it is about this one, but they have not even remotely destroyed it except for major slobber damage from being so loved. I bought the first one months ago from TJ Maxx and then bought another on here thinking it could be a replacement when the first one got destroyed. The first one has yet to be destroyed. It sounds like there is a water bottle inside of it but it is some kind of coil thing. That being said, this toy can be very annoying to listen to, but we tolerate it for 3 very happy dogs.

Not for us, unfortunately.
Pattern Name: Chipmunk
Cute idea. We have doxies. Unfortunately, they ripped the apart in 5 minutes to get to the squeaker. I'm sure other breeds are more gentle with their toys. It would be a great toy for them.
