However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun, which will instantly burn its precious, delicate velvet leaves. An east or west-facing windowsill is the perfect choice.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and very thoughtful. Philodendrons do not tolerate overly frequent watering or soggy roots. Allow the top layer of soil and the middle layer (at least the first third of the pot) to dry out thoroughly between waterings! The plant absolutely cannot tolerate standing water in the saucer or decorative pot, which will quickly cause sensitive root rot. Reduce watering significantly during the winter months.
