  • Each stem makes a perfect addition to bouquets
  • Flowers last 7-10 days in a vase
  • Cutting encourages bushier growth and more blooms

  • Blooms continuously from early summer until frost
  • Single flowers allow easy pollinator access to nectar
  • Creates vital habitat for beneficial insects

Why Gardeners Love Zinnias:

  • Incredibly easy to grow from seed (perfect for first-time gardeners)
  • Germinates quickly (usually within 4-7 days)
  • Heat and drought tolerant once established
  • Thrives in hot summer conditions when other flowers fade
  • Low maintenance and disease resistant
  • Blooms prolifically with minimal care
  • Grows in almost any soil type

Growing Tips:

  • Direct sow outdoors after last frost or start indoors 4-6 weeks early
  • Prefers full sun (6+ hours daily)
  • Well-drained soil, average fertility
  • Space plants 8-12 inches apart
  • Water at base of plant to prevent powdery mildew
  • Deadhead spent blooms or cut for bouquets to encourage more flowers
  • USDA hardiness zones 2-11 (annual flower)

For the Best Blooms:

  • Pinch plants when 8-10 inches tall to encourage bushier growth
  • Cut flowers early in the morning for longest vase life
  • Remove faded blooms regularly to promote continuous flowering
  • Fertilize lightly every 3-4 weeks for maximum blooms
  • Avoid overhead watering to prevent fungal issues

Harvesting for Bouquets:

  • Cut stems when flowers are fully open
  • Harvest in the morning after dew dries
  • Choose stems with tight, fresh blooms
  • Strip lower leaves before placing in water
  • Change water every 2-3 days for longest vase life
  • Combine with other summer flowers for stunning arrangements

Companion Planting:

  • Pairs beautifully with marigolds, cosmos, sunflowers, and salvias
  • Plant near vegetable gardens to attract pollinators for better yields
  • Combines well with purple coneflowers and black-eyed Susans
  • Great filler for mixed flower borders
  • Complements ornamental grasses

Educational Value:

  • Perfect for teaching kids about plant life cycles
  • Fast germination shows quick results

A no-brainer
They taste good, arrived in great shape with no bruises, pricing can't be beat, and were just on the verge of being at peak condition which is just what you would hope for....not green anymore but good for several days. What's not to like? Prompt delivery. I don't know how they do it but they did. Five stars earned.

Just right bananas
Buying more groceries on Amazon lately. So, want to start sharing experience. The bananas were just right—not too ripe and not too green. Would buy them again thru Amazon

Received a perfect bunch!
Some things are truly hit or miss with Amazon Fresh grocery deliveries! I Some things are truly hit or miss with Amazon Fresh grocery deliveries! I hadn’t ordered bananas for about a month due to what I’d received in the past. Personal preference? I want those lovely pale green ends! Please!!! I don’t like the flavor or even the change in scent that happens when bananas turn darker yellow, freckle - or worse? Turn brown. Yuck. Each previous delivery, I hadn’t been able to eat more than 3 out of each bunch because of the already yellowed fruit received. I even tried the currently trendy recommendation of wrapping the individual stem ends in plastic wrap to help slow the ripening process. Was very pleased to receive a bunch of 6 small sized bananas, all delicately green and completely beautiful! Beautiful job by the thoughtful delivery person as well, who didn’t just leave the bags in the rain on the (only 2!) steps, but made sure they were under the protection of the porch and not blocking my door. Some items I never order anymore (beloved snap peas and garnet potatoes are two examples) after receiving spoiled items - more than once. Apparently notifying Amazon of our understandable disappointment, not to mention the waste! can sometimes improve the quality of items delivered. I do very much appreciate the Amazon Fresh delivery service in my (rapidly approaching) old age.
