Wonder Of It All Daylily
‘Wonder Of It All’ is a beauty of a daylily. In fact, there’s just one word to describe it: Wonderful. We have this one planted in our display garden and it never fails to attract a crowd during our annual Daylily Festival.
Gorgeous 5 3/4″ cream blooms are surrounded by an outstanding yellow ruffled edge and held tall on scapes that reach around 27″ in our East Tennessee garden. An early season bloomer, Wonder Of It All has a high bud count that results in lots of lovely blooms. Also a good rebloomer, you can expect to see this beauty off and on throughout the season.
If you follow Oakes Daylilies on any of our social platforms, then you already know that this is a favorite of Ken Oakes. He has a weakness for daylilies with extravagant edges and, in his words, “Wonder Of It All is one of the best.”
An early season bloomer, we can usually expect to see these beautiful blooms around the first of June or so here in our zone 7 garden. Those of you to our north will see it a few weeks after we do and those of you to our south can look for it a bit earlier than us. Thanks to good rebloom, you’ll see these breathtaking blooms off and on throughout the season.
As a creamy near white daylily, Wonder Of It All can act as a neutral in the summer garden. For that reason, it looks fantastic with every color.
Although listed as dormant, Wonder Of It All has been proven to successfully grow in zones 3-10.
