Why Sensational!™
Often called the “next generation” of Phenomenal®, Sensational!™ forms a large plant like Phenomenal, but stays more compact and produces longer flower spikes in a deep violet tone. The spikes are taller than many other lavenders, making it an excellent choice for cutting and crafting.

Care and growing tips
- Water
- Light. Let soil dry between waterings.
First year: Newly planted lavenders may need a bit more water while establishing.
- Fertilizer
- Once a month, but base fertilizing on your soil test and pH.
- Pruning
- Prune in spring and fall to reduce woody growth and keep that classic “lavender gumdrop” shape.
- Cold climate performance
- A cold-hardy lavender that’s a strong pick for northern gardens. Blooms later in summer, and you may even get two harvests in a good season.
