GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Broccoli is a cold-hardy crop that does very well with spring and fall plantings. It is a nutritional powerhouse that requires attention and space, but the fresh florets are worth every bit of effort.

Start broccoli seeds indoors about 4-6 weeks before the last frost date. Use a seedling flat and a high-quality seed starting mix. Plant a few rows per flat, a couple seeds every 10 cm. A shallow depth of 1 cm is perfect for the small seeds. Bottom water, but don’t let the trays sit in standing water. Put the seeds in a warm place and provide plenty of light once the sprouts germinate.

Broccoli needs lots of nutrients to grow strong and produce hefty heads. When sprouts show their first true leaves, apply a weak dose of liquid fertilizer, like fish emulsion or compost tea.

Thin out sprouts when they start crowding, up to 30 cm. Transplant into a small pot if the flats are outgrown, but don’t be afraid to transplant into the garden 2-4 weeks before the last frost. Broccoli is quite hardy and will tolerate cold temperatures without a problem. After all, the sooner they make it to the garden, the quicker they can get established. But make sure to progressively harden them off first.

Slowly acclimate the young plants to the sun and outdoor elements. When ready to transplant, put them in their permanent places 30-60 cm apart. Allow space for the florets to grow tall and wide.

Broccoli can take anywhere from 50 to 90 days until harvest, depending on the variety. Fertile soil and regular feeding throughout the season will contribute to a faster growth rate, and ultimately improve the quality of the final product.

QUICK FACTS

- Native to the northern Mediterranean, broccoli was first cultivated in 600 BCE in ancient Roman times. The popularity of the vegetable had spread to most of Europe by the 1700s and was cultivated in America beginning in the 1800s.

- Broccoli is a cold-hardy vegetable, the best results are with spring and fall crops. They can still perform well in partial shade during the hot summer months.

- The majority of broccoli cultivars can withstand frost, making them an ideal crop for colder conditions.

- Broccoli seeds will remain viable for 4 years if stored in a cool, dark place, ideally between 4 and 10⁰C. After that, the germination rate may start to go down.

Perfect for my son with EXTREMELY sensitive skin
Size: Size 5 (132 Count), Size: Size 5 (132 Count)
My son has extremely sensitive skin, and most diapers cause hives or a rash. We’ve tried countless brands and had eventually settled on Bambo Nature, but their prices increased significantly, so I started looking for a more affordable alternative. Although the product listing doesn’t clearly mention it, these diapers are absolutely latex-free, and that’s a huge deal for little ones like ours. Amazon should really make that more obvious in this listing, since latex-free diapers are a necessity for my son. I also found in my research that there was 3rd party testing that found no detectable PFAs in these, but even bambo nature had some detected. The best part? He has had zero reaction to these. No hives, no rash, nothing. On top of that, they’re adorable, highly absorbent, and cost about half as much as the brand we were previously using. I genuinely wish I had tried them sooner. For this price, I wouldn’t even care if Amazon Prime ads were printed on them. I also love the stretch in the tabs and the back waistband area. It’s the perfect amount of flexibility for my very active toddler without feeling flimsy. We have had zero leaks, even overnight. My son actually keeps looking down at them before getting dressed, like he notices and approves of the fun prints compared to his old plain diapers. For the price, quality, and the fact that they actually work for sensitive skin, these have been an excellent find. This is all we will use from now on.

Great Diapers
Size: Size 5 (33 Count)
These diapers have been a lifesaver for our family. They fit really well without being too tight and my daughter is comfortable. I love that they don’t sag easily and the stretchy sides help prevent leaks while still allowing my child to move around freely. The absorbency is impressive, especially during naps, and we’ve never had a blowout. Another huge plus is the price. It’s hard to find diapers that work this well without spending a fortune, but these are a great value for the quality. They hold up just as well as more expensive brands, making them perfect for everyday use. I would definitely recommend them to parents looking for dependable diapers that fit well, absorb great, and are budget friendly.

Great bang for your buck
Size: Size 1 (50 Count), Size: Size 1 (50 Count)
Gotta say this is a pretty good diaper for the price! Not as soft as your luxury name brands but still very soft. Great absorption, no leaks, moisture stripe works. I like that they're mostly plain, I never understood why diapers needed to be "cute." The adhesion tabs work well, even though I did waste a diaper accidentally ripping one off. x) As for negatives this diaper is narrower than all the other brands. Which is fine, it still fits my baby but I probably won't be buying these again unless im using them as an in between from nb to size 1

Comparable to Major Name Brands in price and quality
Size: Newborn (30 Count)
Good value for the price , comparable in value and quality of major name brands. Visually attractive and detailed product description on packaging. Newborn size package is very small and well packaged for easy storage. Diapers are made to fit comfortably to newborns body and manufactured to wick moisture into the diaper away from babies skin and so not to leak. They absorb a fairly good amount of liquid with no problems. The adhesive tabs stick well and do not come lose.
