The profile of the Pilea peperomioides has been given a boost lately thanks to its popularity on social media as a symbol of friendship, hence its nickname as the friendship plant (though it is not the only plant with the moniker). The Pilea peperomioides earned the nickname because of its ease of propagation and the practice of sharing its offshoots or "pups" with friends.

This striking indoor plant grows from a central stalk that extends upward, with its distinctive flat, circular leaves radiating into a canopy on long, delicate stems that give the plant its characteristic buoyancy. The plant's springlike movement makes it a fitting celebration of anyone who embodies resiliency, joy, flexibility, adaptability, and resourcefulness.

The Pilea peperomioides has the added benefit of being non-toxic to dogs and cats, as well as low-light tolerant, which makes it easy to care for in the Pacific Northwest.

Your potted plant will be carefully packaged in a charming box, complete with care instructions and a hand-written note, penned by us with your personal message.
