About Haworthia coarctata

Haworthia coarctata is a slow-growing, clumping succulent that brings a touch of the wild to any desktop or windowsill. Unlike many succulents that stay in flat rosettes, this variety grows in striking vertical spires or columns of densely packed, triangular leaves.

The foliage is naturally a deep, forest green and is decorated with beautiful white raised bumps (tubercles) that resemble tiny pearls or stripes. One of its most magical features is its color-shifting ability: when given ample sunlight or cool evening temperatures, the outer leaves transition from green to a moody purple-red or burgundy, while the newer growth at the center stays vibrant green.

How to Care for Haworthia coarctata

Sun/Location: This is one of the most versatile indoor succulents. It tolerates partial shade and moderate indoor light much better than most Echeverias. To see the dramatic purple-red stress colors, place it in a spot with bright, indirect sunlight or a few hours of morning sun. Avoid harsh, direct afternoon sun, which can occasionally cause the leaf tips to dry out.

Soil/Pot: This 4-inch pot should be paired with a gritty, well-draining cactus mix. We recommend a soil blend that is at least 50% mineral grit (pumice or perlite) to ensure the roots stay dry and healthy. A pot with a drainage hole is essential to prevent water from pooling at the base.

Watering: Follow a thorough soak-and-dry routine. Water the soil until it runs out the bottom, then wait until the potting medium is completely dry before watering again. During the winter months, you can reduce watering even further. This plant is highly drought-tolerant and very forgiving if you occasionally forget to water it.

Propagation: This variety is a "clumper," meaning it naturally produces offsets (pups) around its base over time. To propagate, simply gently separate a well-established pup from the mother plant and tuck it into its own pot. It can also be grown from leaf cuttings, though offsets provide much faster results.

Good image quality
Set name: Sublimation Printer
Has good print quality and has worked well. I like the tray paper feed for regular size and that I can use the back paper feed set up for my mug sized sublimation paper. I had considered converting an ink jet to a sublimation, but for a little more decided to try this. Glad I did. Set up was pretty easy and I'm happy with the color quality and accuracy. I wasn't sure when I first saw the print out, but once the sublimation was doen, it was great.

Great value
Set name: Sublimation Printer
This is my first sublimation printer and I am very happy with this printer. The photos that I have printed have been very good quality and vibrant colors and have applied really well to the sublimation blanks I have used. I like that it will self clean the heads as long as the printer power is on. It was important to me to get an actual sublimation printer in order to have the warranty on it. The printer works with the Artspira app. This app is only available on a smart phone or tablet. It is very difficult to design on such a small screen. Brother needs to have a program that will work on a computer to make designing easier. I did gave difficulties getting my phone to connect to the printer after I designed my work on the very small screen. I used the chat feature on the Brother site and they were able to help me get it connected in order to print.

NOt good... not great... horrible
Set name: Sublimation Printer
I’m thoroughly disappointed with the Brother Sublimation Printer and would not recommend it. Out of the box, the setup process was more complex than anticipated, with unclear instructions and frequent errors. The print quality was inconsistent, with colors often coming out dull or inaccurate, despite multiple attempts at calibration. I experienced frequent paper jams, which disrupted my workflow and wasted a lot of materials. The printer’s software is buggy and doesn’t integrate well with other design programs, making it frustrating to use. The connectivity options were unreliable, causing frequent disconnections and delays. Additionally, the printer is quite noisy during operation, which can be distracting and bothersome. The build quality feels flimsy and not as durable as I expected. The customer support experience was also poor, with slow response times and unhelpful solutions. I faced issues with ink usage, as the cartridges seemed to run out quickly, leading to higher operational costs. The sublimation prints didn’t have the sharp, vibrant quality I was hoping for, making my final products look less professional. The lack of clear troubleshooting guides added to the frustration. The printer’s design is bulky and takes up more space than I anticipated. Overall, this Brother Sublimation Printer has been a letdown in terms of performance, reliability, and ease of use. I regret investing in this product and would advise looking for alternatives.
