Bright Indirect Light

I thrive in areas of bright indirect light. But please keep me away from harsh direct sunlight as this will scorch my leaves. If you put me in a darker spot I will be more prone to root rot and overwatering problems. Although I will tolerate it change your watering habits accordingly. 

 

Infrequent Watering

Allow the top third of the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Why not pop your finger in to check the moisture level. If you've put me in a darker spot allow half of my soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot occurring. 

 

Care Tips

Average room humidity is great for me. Be careful not to mist me too much as it can build up mildew and cause rot. 

Root rot is the most common problem. If you suspect this, you may see yellowing leaves, then it could be that my soil is waterlogged. Why not carefully take me out of my pot and inspect the roots. If they are yellow tinged and looking good then I'm doing well. If you find they are brown and mushy we have a problem. 


Fun Facts

I can trail or climb. You can use sticky picture hooks to promote longer vines and make a wall feature of me. Why not give it a go. Or pop a decorative brass stake in my pot and I'll climb right up it.

Update 2 weeks later — tried a replacement, hoped from a different batch. But this one was even less safe, no safety seals or even tape, and not even a product box, just a ready-to-ship baggie. Really sad, really needed this for a family member with low saliva, mouth psoriasis, and chewing-swallowing problems. No idea what to try next bc most products we have seen here have so many chemicals, sweeteners, and flavorings that are harsh for us, they would be impossible to use, worseners. We are giving up on this product, will try asking amazon for a final refund, will keep trying to find something else, and hope our family member will be able to keep eating in the meantime. But, packaging was unsafe — safety tape on outside of cap, but no actual safety seal inside, cap was simple, loose screw-on not flip-top, and gel was leaking. Amazon ai said to not use, and to request a replacement or refund. So we chatted with Amazon customer service, and they refunded. We hope a replacement from a different batch will be safer.
