Zucchini – Fun Fact:
Zucchini originated in the Americas but was developed into its modern form in Italy, where it got its name—"zucchini" translates literally to "little squash" in Italian. These fast-growing vegetables can mature so quickly that gardeners often joke about overnight "zucchini explosions," with a tiny squash suddenly becoming the size of a baseball bat if not picked regularly!

Common Questions About Emerald Zucchini:

How do I grow Emerald Zucchini? Plant in full sun, use rich soil, water consistently, and space adequately for airflow. It’s a fast-growing, easy-care plant.

Can Emerald Zucchini grow in containers? Yes, it thrives in large containers or raised beds. Just ensure good drainage and enough space for root and leaf growth.

When should I harvest Emerald Zucchini? Pick when fruits are 6 to 8 inches long for the most tender texture and best flavor. Regular harvesting encourages more fruit.

Does Emerald Zucchini need a trellis? No, it has a bush habit and doesn’t require vertical support like vining squash.

How big does Emerald Zucchini get? The plant grows 2-3 feet tall and wide, making it ideal for small gardens or patio setups.

How many zucchini does one Emerald Zucchini plant produce? A healthy Emerald Zucchini plant can produce 15 to 25 zucchini over the course of the season, especially if harvested regularly. Frequent picking encourages more fruit production.

Is Emerald Zucchini good for small gardens? Yes! Its compact bush habit makes it ideal for small-space gardens, raised beds, and large patio containers, offering big harvests without taking up much room.

Does Emerald Zucchini need pollination to produce fruit? Yes. Like all zucchini, it needs pollination from bees or hand-pollination to set fruit. Planting flowers nearby helps attract pollinators.

Can Emerald Zucchini be grown alongside other vegetables? Absolutely. It grows well with beans, corn, radishes, marigolds, and nasturtiums. Just give it enough space to avoid crowding neighboring plants.

Is Emerald Zucchini good for cooking? Absolutely! It’s excellent grilled, sautéed, spiralized, or baked—one of the most versatile veggies in the garden.

What are the best companion plants for Emerald Zucchini? Emerald Zucchini grows well alongside other vegetables and flowers that support pollination, deter pests, and optimize garden space. The best options include:

Beans – Enrich the soil with nitrogen, promoting healthier zucchini growth.
Peas – Fix nitrogen and grow vertically, saving space while improving soil health.
Corn – Grows upright and doesn’t compete for root space, making it a great zucchini neighbor.
Radishes – Help deter squash borers and can be harvested quickly without disturbing zucchini roots.
Nasturtiums – Attract aphids away from zucchini and act as a natural pest trap.
Marigolds – Repel beetles and harmful nematodes while attracting pollinators.

Avoid planting near potatoes, which can compete for nutrients and attract similar pests.

Pollinator and Garden Benefits

While zucchini flowers don’t produce nectar, they are highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, which help boost fruit production. Growing zucchini also encourages biodiversity in your vegetable garden and supports the overall health of your harvest ecosystem.

Size: 8 Ounce (Pack of 1), Style: Cool Down Lotion
Love this stuff. Best recovery from the sun I have found. I am very fair and even with sunscreen sometimes still get a little burnt. My friends who get tan and had a long day in the sun are quick to grab this from me and use it at the end of the day. I highly recommend this for anyone. It’s cooling and hydrating. Repair or maintenance for your skin, it’s great for both options. Lightweight and easy to apply. Hands down, worth it!

Smells Great and Works Well
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 1), Style: Cool Down Lotion
Smells great and goes on really smoothly. Skin felt soft and refreshed after use. It is pretty "liquidy" and can come out of the bottle a little on the quick and messy side, but nothing too terrible.

Works VERY well, NOT sticky, smells AMAZING!
Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 1), Style: Cool Down Lotion
So... I had sunburn... very painful across my whole back, top of my forehead & the back of my arms. Stupid, I know... USE SUNBLOCK PEOPLE! However, if u don't because u want "a little color" and end up like me, then I highly recommend this after-sun product. It smells amazing and doesn't leave the sticky residue like green Aloe Vera. After rubbing it in, my hands feel super soft. It gives my skin the hydration it needs so I won't peel (and lose the tan I was desperate for). My personal hack... After the sensitivity of the burn calms, I like keeping a bottle in the fridge for that extra cooling sensation. I love this stuff! Sun Bum is a great product... u should definitely try the sunblock tho, it worked where I applied it! I didn't take a pic for obvious reasons, but when u rub it in, it will dry clear.

Works Exceptionally well without feeling like you just applied Super Glue to your Body.
Size: 8 Ounce (Pack of 1), Style: Cool Down Lotion
I would provide a picture of the bottle but TSA took mine. This is some of the best post sunburn lotion I have ever used. I just finished writing a review of a sunblock lotion that did a great job, what I did not mention was the only sunburn I got was on my lower back where I didn't apply that lotion. It was a pretty uncomfortable burn, especially when I tried to sleep in the forward berth of a sailboat, or when I tried to wear swimming trunks with an elastic type waist, thankfully I had a couple of sets of board shorts that alleviated that irritation. But back on point. What I like the most about this lotion is how it applies. Usually, in the past, I did not like using aloe lotions because I felt like it was like glue when it dried on my skin and I felt like it made my skin feel tight. This stuff applies extremely well and I'm not exaggerating one bit when I say the relief is IMMEDIATE. As soon as I applied it to my sunburn, I felt immediate relief! It also doesn't feel like you just spread a bunch of super glue on your burn when it dries. It absorbs into your skin, cools your "hot spot" and doesn't leave a residue to get onto your clothing, or onto the mattress in my berth on the sailboat. Win and win. I can't recommend this product enough. The only negative experience was when TSA snagged my bottle going through security in Miami because I forgot to put it in my checked bag. But that was just the good ol' TSA doing their job in the amazing way they always do. (sarcasm dripping sounds) It works so well that I bought a replacement. So I would recommend purchasing the 3 oz tube if you plan on traveling with it. This is an excellent product, I'm not sure how long it lasts, because I forgot my sunburn was nothing me, or it enabled me to fall back asleep after applying. It does have that coconutty smell, but it's not like I just spent 3 hours in a hot tub filled with coconut oil. Hmmm... Idea forming... Anyway, purchase with confidence, this Texan who got a sunburn on his lower back and treated it with Sun Bum approves this message.
