Our own spirits can readily understand and commune with our sense of Mary from this picture, and it is easy to imagine that she loves us and will help us.

Etienne Azambre (1859-1933) was a French artist best known for his Catholic paintings. He studied under Bouguereau, who was a generation older and who is still widely famous today for his Catholic paintings.
