It's funny, clever and touching. It is not deep but it works. In trying to avoid his previous life in another world, he keeps things light and tries to help thew locals who live in a culture and a political system he doesn't understand. His entire goal is to fish as much as possible in a place where everything related to the ocean is hearsay. I just keep reading. The mystery is what exactly makes this book so addictive. I've read the second and the third is waiting for me. I read on.

There’s loads of humor, great pacing, wonderful narrator, and an interesting world. It reminds me of “Beware of Chicken” in its wholesomeness and enjoyability. I’ve already gone to the next in the series! Please enjoy
