How To Grow Mullein From Seed: Mullein seeds can be started indoors from April. Using a seedling module or small pots, sow a pinch of seed in each pot/cell. Thin to leave only the strongest seedling after they become established. Plant out when frost risk has passed.

Alternatively, plant directly outside from May onwards. Sow the seeds thinly in the plants intended place. After seedlings establish, thin to leave a spacing of 50cm between plants.

Mullein will produce large rosettes in its first year. It will flower in its second year.
