The seat also provides proper alignment and support at the beginning and end of the exercise, dropping away during the exercise movement. An oversized foot plate allows for multiple foot positions to ensure correct biomechanics for all sized users during the exercise.

For dead lift and shrug exercises, the angled foot plate provides a stable foundation, especially for those with limited/tight calf muscles.
