The Peach That Lives Up to Its Name

Big Red Peach (Prunus persica 'Big Red') delivers exactly what its name promises: large, richly colored fruit with a deep crimson blush that practically glows in the summer sun. This reliable, self-fertile peach tree puts on a spring show of soft pink blossoms before the leaves even unfurl, then rewards patient gardeners with generous crops of sweet, juicy peaches by midsummer. If you have been hesitant to grow peaches because of pest complexity or pollination requirements, Big Red is a great starting point. It is self-fertile, so a single tree is all you need to get fruit, and it adapts readily to a wide range of climates across zones 5 through 9.

Fruit Worth Growing For

The peaches Big Red produces have yellow flesh that is firm enough to hold up in a canning jar but sweet and aromatic enough to eat over the sink. The skin develops that signature deep red blush as the fruit matures through July and into August, signaling that it is approaching peak ripeness. Thinning the developing fruit to about one peach every four to six inches of branch will give you noticeably bigger, more flavorful results at harvest. A mature Big Red can yield up to 150 pounds in a good season, which gives you plenty for fresh eating, preserves, pies, and the freezer.

Seasons of Interest

Spring arrives with a wave of pink blossoms before the foliage emerges, which makes Big Red Peach genuinely ornamental even in years when a late frost impacts fruit set. The narrow, lance-shaped green leaves fill in quickly as temperatures warm, and by midsummer the branches bend gently with the weight of developing fruit. Fall brings yellow foliage before the tree goes dormant, giving it four seasons of visual interest in the home landscape.

Orchard and Landscape Use

Big Red grows to a manageable 12 to 15 feet tall and wide at maturity, which suits backyard orchards, mixed fruit gardens, and even standalone specimen plantings. With consistent annual pruning to an open-center vase shape, you can keep it slightly more compact and make harvesting easier. Plant it in full sun with good air circulation and well-drained soil, and it will anchor a productive home orchard for 15 to 20 years with attentive care.

A Note on Disease Management

Peach trees in general are susceptible to a handful of common issues, including peach leaf curl, brown rot, and bacterial spot. The good news is that most of these are preventable with a straightforward seasonal spray program and good cultural practices: clean up fallen leaves and fruit at the end of the season, prune for airflow, and apply a copper-based dormant spray before buds swell in late winter. Following this routine consistently will keep Big Red healthy and productive year after year.

Not sure
Scent: Unscented, Size: 8 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Initially it has a very greasy feeling and takes quite a long time to absorb. Once absorbed it feels very nice. It is a very nice thick tallow, quality seems very good.

Moisturizing
Scent: Unscented, Size: 8 Ounce (Pack of 1)
A little goes a very long way with this product. It feels amazing and makes my skin so soft. It pairs well with my snail mucin. My skin looks beautiful. Just be careful not to use too much copilot said it can cause breakouts but I’ve been using it every other day for a week now with no break outs. I also pair it with a beef tallow serum.

Sand paper residue
Scent: Unscented, Size: 8 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I ordered this in march just started to use it. I’m not sure if I got a bad batch according to reviews, however it’s like rubbing on sand paper it leaves a white residue on your skin . After it heats up you can rub most of it in but I wouldn’t reorder. It does moisturizer but the sandpaper feeling is not worth the trouble. :(

This stuff is good. It doesn't have a smell at all, so it's not irritating at all. it feels so good and a little does go a long ways. it's such a good price for a good amount compared to others that is half the size and twice the price. Simple very good ingredients. Love love love. A must have.

Best lip balm I have ever used.
By far the best lip balm you will ever buy. When I say I am addicted to Chapstick/lip balm it's an understatement. I don't just have one kind, in one place. I have multiple kinds (you never know what you're feeling or need) in every place! Like my cars chapstick has a chapstick family. I have been trying to pay attention to ingredients lately and realize how many awful chemicals are in most of the products I use. So...here we are, woke up after sleeping with a fan in my face and my lip was dry and cracked straight down the middle. Something so stupid caused so much discomfort I started immediately trying all the different brands, oils, balms, etc. Some burned, some made it worse, some did nothing. Two days of this nonsense and I decided to try this product. It was delivered the next day thank goodness because I was becoming so annoyed with the pain from a small cut. I instantly put the product on and my lip felt so much better. It lasts a very long time so it isn't drying back out and it isn't painful to reapply when needed. It's been less than 24 hours and my lip is almost better. I even slept with the fan on. This balm is amazing, made in the USA, comes in a huge tube unlike the other brands, costs is amazingly low, and it has no nasty smell at all! The only complaint I have would be my concern for my addiction to carry one in my pocket and due to the ingredients it will probably melt some but I will worry about that when I need to. Seriously, this stuff is so amazing I had to write this review. I don't know these people and I sure didn't get it for free. I will be purchasing more from them and sharing what a quality product it is. Just get it.
