This variety produces yellow flowers, which are different from the non-edible variety that has orange flowers.

Aloe vera is a succulent plant species of the genus Aloe. Having many medicinal uses, Aloe is an evergreen perennial that prefers a bright, sunny place otherwise it will go dormant and stop growing. Water the plant heavily about once every two weeks, waiting until the soil dries out fully. Being a desert species, keeping the dirt moist will cause the roots to rot.
