Cultivar History of Bonnie Spider Plant
The Bonnie Spider Plant is a cultivar of the popular Chlorophytum comosum species, originating in South Africa. It became a favorite in indoor gardening thanks to its hardiness and ability to thrive in various conditions. Bonnie’s unique curly foliage distinguishes it from the more common ‘Vittatum’ variety. Its resilience and adaptability have contributed to its popularity, especially as houseplants gained recognition for their air-purifying qualities in the late 20th century.
