Sempervivum heuffelii ‘Gold Bug’ is a vibrant rosette with a glowing yellow to lime green base and fiery red to orange leaf tips. This is a strong and steady grower. Instead of producing long stolons, S. heuffelii varieties multiply by division, with the mother rosette gradually forming a dense cluster of new rosettes. These can be carefully cut apart and transplanted or left to form a compact mound. Mature rosettes will bloom after several years, sending up a central flower stalk. Propagation is straightforward through division, making it easy to expand a planting over time.

Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.

Perfect so far!

My dog has a habit of tearing up toys in just a few minutes, so far, this toy has lasted a few days, the rope is already showing signs of wear.
I wish there was a way to attach a new rope when this one goes...
She is a mid-sized dog with a LOT of energy, and she's very destructive, digging, chewing on things she's not supposed to, etc.
This helps with that, she can play with it for a long time, we don't have to always 'check' to see if she is tearing something up.
She loves grabbing it by the rope and swinging it around the sides of her head, it doesn't hurt her, and she LOVES this toy. Out of ALL of the toys that we have bought her, and that she loved, THIS ONE has been top dog to her. We love watching her play with it, it also wears her out and she'll then take a nap, which is always good.
Oh yeah, the size if PERFECT for a mid-sized to a large dog, I'm not sure about any smaller dogs. She can squeak the squeaker on it fine too, but not at first, she had to 'find out' how to do it on her own.
As far as chewing it into little pieces like one person has said, I can't attest to that, and I hope that is not the case.
I will return if she does end up chewing it into pieces, because she in known far and wide for that! :)
