Peace Lily is one of the most loved flowering houseplants in the world and for very good reason. Its deep, glossy green leaves make a beautiful display on their own, and several times a year it rewards you with elegant white sail-shaped flowers that rise above the foliage and last for weeks. It is one of the few flowering plants that genuinely thrives in lower light conditions, making it one of the most versatile and dependable plants for any indoor space.
Good for beginners? Yes. Peace Lily is remarkably easy to care for and communicates clearly when it needs water by drooping slightly. Once watered it recovers within hours. It is a great choice for anyone new to plants.
Safe for cats and dogs? Peace Lily is toxic to pets if ingested. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs, or explore our pet-safe plant collection.
Light needs: Low to medium indirect light. One of the best flowering plants for lower-light rooms. Bright indirect light encourages more frequent blooming. Avoid direct sun which will scorch the leaves.
Care at a glance: Water when the top inch of soil is dry or when it begins to droop slightly. It recovers quickly after watering. Feed monthly in spring and summer to encourage blooming. Wipe leaves occasionally to keep them glossy.
