Tailored for both beginners and seasoned bonsai enthusiasts, the course covers essential topics such as species selection, seasonal care, pruning, wiring, and styling specific to deciduous varieties.

Participants will learn to work with trees like maples, elms, and oaks, understanding their natural growth patterns and how to skilfully manage their evolving foliage and cycles. With a blend of expert demonstrations, and personalized guidance and instruction, this class provides a thorough mastery of how to cultivate and maintain vibrant, healthy deciduous bonsai throughout the year.

This immersive learning experience is aimed towards students or practitioners who want to move beyond surface-level styling, and engage in more of the deeper, technical aspects of deciduous trees. Comprehensive notes outlining the course are provided, however note taking and sketching is encouraged, so please bring a pen or pencil with you.

Our 4-part Immersive classes only run once per year at this stage, with each class spread out and timed accordingly over the 12 month period to utilise the seasonal advantages and timing of certain practices. 
 
The class will run from 10am - 4pm with a lunch break in between.
