The distinctive heart-shaped leaves of Hoya kerrii make it a charming and unusual houseplant. With thick, glossy foliage and a slow-growing habit, it’s a low-maintenance plant that looks great on a bright shelf or trailing from a pot as it matures.
Light: Hoya kerrii thrives in bright, indirect light and will be happiest near a sunny window with some protection from strong midday sun. It can tolerate lower light conditions, but growth will be much slower and variegated forms may lose some colour.
Water: Allow the soil to dry out well between waterings, as hoyas store water in their thick leaves. Water thoroughly, letting excess water drain away, and avoid letting the plant sit in soggy soil. In winter or lower light conditions, watering may only be needed every few weeks.
