String of Dolphins houseplant is a hybrid between Senecio rowleyanus and Senecio articulatus, the result of this union rendering a kinetic celebration of breaching dolphin leaves on long cascading branches. Fancy that!

You can grow this beauty indoors or outdoors, just make sure to get the light and water balance right. As with its parent, the String of Pearls, err on the side of underwatering, and make sure it has good drainage. Follow these instructions to keep your String of Dolphins healthy and happy.

Water: As this plant is a succulent, it stores water in its 'leaves'. Let the top layer of soil dry out between watering but not too much. Reduce watering schedule in winter.
Light: Loves bright indirect light best, but can handle a little bit of soft, direct sun
Humidity: Does not like too much humidity. Normal household humidity is good for this plant. Keep it out of the bathroom if there is a shower in the room.
Fertilize: Feed with diluted good balanced organic fertilizer every 2 weeks during the growing season (Spring to Summer) and cut back to monthly in Winter.
