Please Read! ❗Items cannot be shipped to CALIFORNIA or ARIZONA due to state import laws. Any orders from these states will be canceled. My apologies for this inconvenience. This is a listing for a Dischidia platyphylla that ships in its 5.5" pot. It is well rooted very healthy. You will receive the EXACT item in the pictures. Growing Information Bright, indirect light is ideal for Dischidia platyphylla. Avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Use a very well-draining potting mix, such as an orchid or hoya mix. Moderate humidity levels are preferred. Mist occasionally if the air is too dry. Temperature: Keep the plant in a warm environment, ideally between 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 27°C). Care and Cultivation They thrive in humid, tropical environments and are often found growing as epiphytes on tree trunks and branches. Prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can be too intense, especially in the afternoon. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Use a well-draining soil mix, such as a blend of orchid potting mix, perlite, pine bark, and peat moss. Prefers some humidity, reflecting its rainforest origins. Consider using a humidifier or placing the plant in a humid room, such as a bathroom, if there is enough light. Feed with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer once a month during the growing season. Hoyas can take several years to bloom, and they often produce flowers on the same spurs year after year so don't remove the spurs when flowers drop! The flowers are nocturnal, opening at night and releasing a sweet fragrance. Hoyas are relatively low-maintenance and make excellent houseplants for those who enjoy fragrant, beautiful blooms.Ships in the 5.5” pots shown in the pictures. This listing is for the EXACT item in the pictures. We put great care into packaging our plants but due to the nature of the items shipped, it is possible for leaves or stems to bend or break in transit. Name: Dischidia platyphylla

Scientific Name: Dischidia platyphylla

Family: Apocynaceae

Product Description:

Dischidia platyphylla is a compact, epiphytic vine native to the Philippines, known for its flat, rounded leaves that grow tightly against vertical surfaces in a shingling pattern. The leaves are succulent and smooth, ranging from bright green to gray-green, and often overlap like roof tiles. Beneath each leaf, adventitious roots help anchor the plant to bark or wood. This species has a mutualistic relationship with arboreal ants, which nest inside the hollow leaf bases and provide nutrients through detritus. Flowers are small, white to cream, and appear sporadically under ideal conditions. Its compact form and unusual growth habit make it ideal for mounted displays and terrarium walls.

Origination: Philippines

Historic Uses: Ornamental epiphyte for mounted displays, terrariums, and ant-plant collections

Height: Vines trail or climb up to 3 feet (90 cm)

Hardiness: USDA Zones 11a–12b

Flower Color: White to cream, star-shaped

Maturity: Blooms sporadically in high humidity and bright filtered light

Other Names: Sometimes called “Shingle Plant” or “Helmet Leaf Dischidia”

Growing Instructions:

Dischidia platyphylla thrives in bright, indirect light and high humidity (60–80%). Mount on bark or wood slabs to replicate its natural growth habit. Use a well-draining mix of orchid bark, sphagnum moss, coco coir, and perlite. Water when the medium feels dry but avoid soggy conditions. Maintain temperatures between 65–95°F, and mist regularly if grown indoors. Fertilize monthly with a diluted balanced fertilizer during active growth. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves. Watch for mealybugs and spider mites, especially in dry environments.

Ships in the 6” HB pot shown in the pictures. This listing is for the EXACT item in the pictures. A few broken leaves or small stems are normal during shipping and are not considered damage. Broken stems can be rooted once the cut end dries to start new growth. Plants may arrive semi‑dormant, and in winter they may naturally drop a few leaves. If your plant arrives rotting or dead, we will replace it. Please contact us with photo proof within 24 hours of delivery. After 24 hours, plant care becomes the buyer’s responsibility, though we’re always happy to answer questions and help you succeed. Great set!
Color: All-Around Dog Puzzle Toys
This is a great set to entertain and beat your dog or puppies boredom! The material is natural so safe there! It’s also very durable ! The mats have suctions on bottom which is very smart ! The treat balls make a good toy even without treats in my experience. You also get a couple free gifts which was a nice surprise.

Great set of dog toys. Lots of variety!
Color: All-Around Dog Puzzle Toys
Great variety of different dog toys. Keeps my dog entertained for a while! She loves the round one with sliding doors. The rubber balls are well made and provide a longer time of play.

Great package of toys
Color: Curated Dog Puzzle Toys
We have a new rescue dog and she eats too fast so we got these to help slow her meals down, and to give her something to do during downtime. The balls are so fun for her, the puzzle one is cool but she knows how to get the food out now so it doesn't take her long to finish it. The lick pads are nice but I have to place them on a cookie sheet so it doesn't get our hardwood floors oily with peanut butter. I think thos whole bundle is a great value. Side note: do not leave your dog alone with these toys because they will chew them up easily. I take them away once the treats and food are gone.

Not made to last..
Color: All-Around Dog Puzzle Toys
I got this kit to help entertain our litter of Golden Retrievers as they got bigger, waiting to go to their forever homes. The quality was pretty good. It worked great when they were small, but as they got bigger and stronger, they were able to chew up and destroy the balls, especially the hollow ones. The balls that hold the treats in between the layers help up better, but after 3-4 months I took them away because they started showing teeth marks. The lick pads have lasted, we still have them 6 months later, and the puzzle thing was ok until about a month ago when the puppy we kept learned to pop the sliders off instead of push them to the side. All in all, I’d say it is ok to entertain very small puppies or dogs that don’t chew a lot, but definitely under supervision. Definitely not for aggressive chewers or larger dogs, as the balls are all very small.

Fun set
Color: All-Around Dog Puzzle Toys
Super cute and dog feeding kit with lots of options at a great price. The balls are a little on the flimsy side, but for the price the set is hard to beat. I have a 12 pound dachshund who is a fast eater, but also loves a good challenge. While the toy is not difficult for her to figure out (she is a little to smart for her own good) it does at least slow her down enough that she chews her food some. The sliders on the feeder move around easily which make it easy to clean and refill, but also make it a lot easier for her to get to the food. It is probably comparable to a level one difficulty for anyone who has tried the Outward Hound food toy games.
