Overview

One of the easiest and quickest root vegetables to grow, radishes come in a rainbow of colors and add a mildly spicy flavor to fresh salads. Since radishes can be harvested as soon as three weeks after planting, they can be planted multiple times in a growing season. Radishes are a good source of vitamin C.

Conditions

For soil, use a fertile well-draining potting mix that’s tailored for vegetables. Radishes are adversely affected by hot, dry weather. For best quality crop, provide full sun (6+ hours of direct sunlight per day) and consistent moisture (don’t let the topsoil become dry to the touch).

Planting

Plant radishes directly in your garden beginning in early spring. Use our grow calendar tool to find specific planting dates for your region! Seeds germinate quickly in 4-6 days. Plant seeds in 3” wide bands, with approximately 1” between each. Thin to 2-3” between plants, or closer to 3-6” for larger varieties.

Care

Keep plants well-watered during the growing season, as drought can halt growth and cause roots to taste bitter.

Pests and Disease

Use floating row covers at time of planting to control flea beetles and cabbage root maggots.

Harvest

Harvest promptly to avoid pithiness, beginning at about 3-4 weeks when roots are the size of a large marble. Push back soil slightly to check root size before harvest.

If you have dogs that like to play fetch, these are a must have!
Color: Orange - Pink, Size: 2.0"(Small)-4 Pack
My pups love these sp much, they won't play with any balls other than these. Not sure if it's the small size, or the fact that they squeek, but they def were a hit.

Fun balls for a small doggie
Our little Cockapoo loves these balls. When she can’t entice us to play, she has figured out how to bounce and chase a ball by herself - very cute!

So Far So Good
I adopted a young adult dog less than 2 weeks ago. She had spent over 12 hours a day in a crate and has excessive energy and anxiety built up. She is a strong chewer. So far, out of 6 toys, this is the only one still in one piece. It appears sturdy and extra bouncy. So much better than regular tennis balls.

My dogs favorite!
My dogs love these! They will play all day if you'd let them, these balls are their favorites. I use the chuck-it handle and they get tons of exercise in the big yard!

The Dog LOVES IT!
I bought this for my ex-wife's Pitbull. He is an aggressive chewer and usually destroys any toy I buy him. But not this one! The ball is small enough and pliable that it gives when he chomps on it. He loves this ball and seems to be his favorite toy. Thank you for making a product that he likes and can't destroy!
