The Monstera adansonii var. 'Laniata' is a close relative of the well-known adansonii, but with its own unique charm. Its leaves are larger, glossier, and a deeper green, often developing beautifully symmetrical fenestrations (natural holes) that make it instantly recognizable.
Native to Mexico and Panama, this variety thrives in warm, humid conditions with bright, indirect light and well-draining soil. When given the right care, Laniata can grow more vigorously than adansonii, with vines reaching 10 feet or more.
Perfect for both beginners and seasoned collectors, Laniata is easy to care for and adapts well as either a trailing plant in hanging baskets or as a climbing plant when given a trellis or moss pole. With occasional watering and light fertilizing, this Monstera is a rewarding grower.
