Introducing the Monstera subpinnata 'Amazon Form', a flowering plant species native to the Peruvian Amazon. This distinctive species is renowned for its uncommonly pinnate leaves within the Monstera genus. It can grow up to a towering height of 12 meters (39 feet), with leaves reaching sizes of up to 40 cm (16 inches) in length and 30 cm (12 inches) in width.
This tropical plant boasts a unique foliage resembling that of a palm, featuring alternate leaflets on each side of the leaf. Its pinnate growth pattern stands in contrast to the usual fenestrated growth of typical Monstera plants.
When cultivated indoors, this plant can reach a total length of about six feet, with each leaf growing up to approximately 12 inches in length. However, if allowed, it can achieve impressive heights of up to 30 feet when grown outdoors.
Care for the Monstera subpinnata 'Amazon Form' involves providing bright, indirect light conditions, both indoors and outdoors. It thrives in well-aerated and light soil to ensure proper root aeration without overwatering. While these tropical plants prefer humid conditions, waterlogged soil can pose problems. It's best to let the top inches of the soil dry before rewatering to maintain optimal health.
Add this visually stunning and unique Monstera subpinnata 'Amazon Form', native to the lush Peruvian Amazon, to your indoor or outdoor collection for an exceptional tropical touch.
