The leaves are the entire point and the entirety of the plant's visual identity: extremely long, narrow, and strap-like, tapering gradually to a fine point and hanging with a pendulous, almost willow-like quality, developing a rich, deep velvety texture as they mature that catches and absorbs light in a way that gives the surface a soft, dimensional quality quite unlike the glossy finish of most aroids. Keep the medium consistently but lightly moist in a chunky, open epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir with excellent drainage; as an epiphyte it is intolerant of waterlogged roots. High humidity of 70-80% is essential for maintaining the velvet surface quality and supporting the cleanest leaf emergence. Maintain warm temperatures between 64-80°F away from cold drafts.
