This is in our bonsai soil mix (Red Lava, Black Lava, Hyuga Pumice, and Akadama). The tree pictured is the tree you will receive but will change in appearance depending on the season of your purchase. At the time of these photos (Spring 2024) this tree was around 17 inches in height from the soil to the top of the tree with a 2.25 inch trunk with an 8 inch nebari. The pot is 14.5 inches wide.

 

The History of This Tree:

This was one of the very first trees that Jason ever put into the ground. However, it was already a ten year old bonsai tree when it was put into the ground. It was dug up in 2008, cut back to a line and then it was allowed to grow and thicken for ten years. In 2018 it was recut to a line and refinement was started in 2022 when it was put into this container. It has a beautiful base and great future branch placement.
