History of our Monstera Albo Borsigiana

The initiation plant material for our tissue culture was purchased from Filoli Botanical Gardens in San Francisco, and was from a single plant in a legacy collection thought to be passed down from the founders of Filoli, the Bourn family, to Lurline Roth, who bought and took over the property, and created the magnificent gardens that are shared with the public today.

The original cutting is thought to have been from a plant that was brought to the Filoli conservatory anytime between 1920 and 1940, and would most likely have been taken from a naturally sourced plant, as in that era, it was common for botanists to travel to tropical places and collect plant specimens from the wild.

I will say, they do not exfoliate all your texture away and refine your pores to perfection like the marketing says, but nothing does. The AHA and BHA are the chemical exfoliants and work just like they do in any other product. The pads are very moist and stay saturated in the container as long as you keep the lid shut. Overall, a good toner pad option to be used occasionally in your routine and do not mix with any other actives.
