Origins
Monstera 'Burle Marx Flame' has an unusual and somewhat mysterious origin. It is named in honour of Roberto Burle Marx, the influential Brazilian modernist landscape architect known for incorporating native tropical plants into his landmark designs, and is believed to have come originally from his personal plant collection in Rio de Janeiro. Its precise wild origin remains uncertain.
