Growth is vigorous, and the plant uses aerial roots to climb on any support.
Amydrium medium shows great variability in its leaves depending on origin - botanists report significant morphological variations even among neighboring colonies (in situ). Currently, there are numerous clones in circulation.

Specimens may have leaves with defects due to handling/international transport.
