This sizzling double daylily has huge 7" blooms in a brilliant red-orange blend with a gold throat and reaches well over 2' tall. If you want to attract some attention to your garden, this "dragon" is the perfect way to do it !
As a mid season bloomer, we begin to see the bright, fluffy double blooms of Fire Breathing Dragon around the middle of June. If you live to our north, you'll see these vibrant blooms a bit after we do. If you live to our south, you'll notice them a couple of weeks before us. Good rebloom means you'll see them off and on throughout the season.
Fire Breathing Dragon is a semi-evergreen daylily. That means it can be grown in gardens across the country.
We love planting double daylilies with a mix of standard and spider-type daylilies because we feel it allows all the different shapes to shine. Try this one with daylilies that have red eyezones to make your garden sizzle!
