Whether you run every day or enjoy casual strolls around the neighborhood, the Momentum Jogging Stroller makes any adventure a breeze. The stroller has two steering modes: Run with a locked front wheel or Walk with a swivel front wheel. When you want to turn while in Run mode, Quick Switch® Steering allows for on-demand steering – simply twist the handlebar to unlock the front wheel to turn without missing a beat. The handlebar also features a comfort grip, wrist strap for safety while jogging, and is height adjustable. The convenient one-hand fold allows easy storage, and this unique folding mechanism allows this jogging stroller to fold more compactly than others. Thoughtful child features include a reclining seat, 5-point safety harness, internal snack pouches, and an extendable canopy with a peek-a-boo mesh window. Walking created an "unpredictable reality," that was "bigger in every conceivable way than [her] imagination could have conjured." As you read through the story, you are transported to the trail, so vivid her recollections and descriptions of their experiences. She wore a necklace with the words strength, courage, and spirit; a mantra that served her well along the journey. Griffin found: "I found my very soul had acclimated to the natural world, and I was completely in tune with the Earth and the sky and the water surrounding me." Such an inspiring memoir! This would be a good read for 50+ women who need a good dose of inspiration, those who like travel memoirs, and those interested in long-haul walking.

Three middle-aged women hike the mighty John Muir Trail, the crown jewel of California that covers over 200 miles of steep and rocky terrain in the Sierra. It was a big deal. The 3-week wilderness trip extended over multiple, high-elevation passes, crossed roaring water and rose to the summit of Mount Whitney, the tallest mountain in the contiguous US at 14, 505 feet. Griffin’s storytelling comes naturally and with ease. This inspirational, follow-your-dreams story is easy to feel surrounded by because of Griffin’s vivid writing. Luscious accounts of landscapes, macro details of the natural world and the knee-knocking, quad-stabbing terrain puts you, the reader, right there. Conversely, the detailed prose is a huge liability in the pacing of this book. Mundane details are redundant as the book slogs on. Long descriptions overtake the read and the focus stays superficial. I would have liked much more character development, and better cadence and dialogue.
