Strawberry Baron Solemacher is a German wild strawberry variety that yield dainty clusters of berries that are very deep red and intensely fragrant! The berries are good-sized for an alpine/wild type and very sweet and juicy. It makes a superb edible ground cover when planted on 15cm spacing and is wonderful in containers and baskets. A very easy variety to grow from seed.

Growing tips

Consider cold stratification when sowing your strawberry seeds.
Cold stratification is essentially mimicking what seeds would experience out in nature during the winter. Two main ingredients to winter – cold and wet. Whether rain, snow, or ice, seeds would be moist a significant part of the time.
Place them in the freezer for 4 weeks prior to planting out in seed trays.
The change in temperature when out of the freezer helps the seeds to sprout.

It's my fault for not realizing this toy is almost as long as my 7lbs papillon lol. He is not sure what to do with it right now but having a good time trying to figure it out. I thought he and his sister would love to play with it together, but it's much firmer than I expected. This is great news for larger dogs! It is a great quality toy. It's ethically made with recycled materials by a company in Colorado and manufactured in Vietnam. It's machine washable. It's a good value and should last for a long time (even with larger dogs). It's not too heavy, but due to its size, it may not be the greatest choice for toy dogs or small puppies. Oh, and it's bright colors and pattern look awesome. My little guy is an aggressive chewer for his size and is quite toy protective, so he has already claimed this as HIS as I'm writing this. He is having fun scratching the material it's made of, chewing it, rolling around with it, carrying it around, and keeping it away from his sister (also a papillon). So, we're happy over here.
