We consider these tender perennials for zones 1-12. In spring two weeks before your last frost start by loosening enriched garden soil down to a 6" depth. These dislike being transplanted so don't try to start them early in pots. Start by putting very warm tap water (not to exceed 140 degrees) into a shallow dish and let them soak overnight for no longer than 8 hours. Choose an area that is high in your garden area and use garden beds that are raised at least 6" as Nasturtium dislike soggy roots. Make sure the soil is finely tilled and sow seeds to around 12" spacing. Cover with 1/2" of peat or compost and keep moist until germination.
These work well in outdoor pots but also do great in the garden, but they need their own space as they will spread a bit but can be trimmed back if they get too invasive. Once established try not to overwater. The last picture in the listing is a 30 day old nasturtium seedling.

Solid bamboo board set for the price

This bamboo cutting board set has been a nice addition to my kitchen. I like having different sizes available, and I especially appreciate being able to reduce how often I use plastic cutting boards. Awesome Boards….BUT the Smell!!!!

I’d love to give these 5 stars, they are heavy, well made, smooth, deep juice grooves, just nice….but the smell! I washed them, then used vinegar on them, set them outside over night, washed them again….its better but still present. I’d love some guidance on this. I’m hoping it goes away in a few days. It’s like a very strong woodsy smell that actually made my whole kitchen smell like these boards!
Edit: Ok, here's what I did. Washed, let dry, coated and scrubbed with apple cider vinegar, set them in a high air flow area for 24 hours (I put mine outside on the patio over night), washed and scrubbed again, let dry, scrubbed with lemons and salt, let dry, washed again. Finally, there is still a slight smell if you push them against your nose but that seems to be fading as well. So, great boards if you want to go stubbornly go through the smell removal process. I don't think it's a chemical smell, I think it's processed bamboo that is shrink wrapped in air tight packaging too soon after manufacturing. Anyway, I'll move this to 4 stars....but lots of work involved here!
