As your child grows, so does their gear, except for the Maxi-Cosi Romi 2-in-1 Convertible Car Seat, which makes travel light and easy. At just over 9 lbs., it’s one of the lightest convertible car seats available. You’ll enjoy how much more convenient it is to go places with your little one as you transfer their seat from one vehicle (or plane) to another. Once you reach your destination, take the top tether and attach it to the carseat shell to use as a handy carrying strap that you slide over your shoulder.

Romi is designed with EcoCare fabric, our premium, future-friendly, 100%-recycled fabric made from plastic bottles. The yarn produced is soft, comfortable, and breathable.

Romi’s clever design also features ultra-soft, yet durable, PureCosi™ fabrics and padding made without added fire retardant treatments, to keep your child comfy and secure wherever your journeys take you. This infant to toddler car seat fits babies and kids rear-facing (5–40 lbs. and 19"–40"), and forward-facing (30–50 lbs. and 34.4"–44").

Actual fit may vary. Not all children will comfortably fit in the car seat for the full weight and height ranges listed.

Another Tezuka scifi classic
Format: Paperback
The story is a collection of short, loosely connected, stories concerning birds. Attaining higher intelligence, they begin fighting back against humanity for dominance and freedom. The first few chapters are very reminiscent of Hitchcock's "The Birds" as they, seemingly out of nowhere, start attacking people and whole cities. Eventually there is a way to communicate and negotiate with them and a truce is made, however it doesn't end there. Many generations pass and birds start gaining larger brains, talking, wearing clothes, etc. And humans devolve into feral cavemen a la, "Planet of the Apes". It is worth noting that there is a chapter featuring a black character who is drawn in a outdated, racist, charicature style. As in all Tezuka books, there's a disclaimer about things like this given the time they were written. I believe, however, that it's worth mentioning as some people feel differently about things like that and with a disclaimer you can now decide for yourself if you want to make your own judgement of the work. That one part aside, I think the work is some of his best. His ideas and artistry really are top notch. You can also plan to lookout for more manga reviews from me Mangamatt, whether here or on other platforms.

An under-appreciated Tezuka gem
Format: Paperback
Wonderfully strange book that toggles between absurd, hilarious, and poignant.

I Welcome Our New Bird Overlords
Format: Paperback
A wild ride that's basically "What if Rise of the Planet of the Apes happened with birds?!" I love it when Tezuka is just... out there, too weird to look away.

Great one and done love letter to 90s Image comics.
Format: Hardcover
This is quite possibly the best comic I have read in quite sometime. The art is great, the story is very well written. It's a fun love letter to 90s Image comics that works even if you've never read an issue of them. My biggest complaint is that there isnt more, as the series ended with a pretty low issue count. Even still it feels complete and is a fun ride. I highly recommend this hardcover as the best way to collect the full series.

Smalltown Superhero Noir
Format: Paperback
Not your standard superhero battle-fest. Local Man is what happens when suddenly you're not 20 anymore, you're kicked off the team in disgrace and have to basically beg your judgy parents for couch space while you somehow, someway, try to put your life back together. And then there are all the murders, just after you come into town. Makes a body think, it does. Hard smalltown noir, with nasty little secrets and petty jealousies, mixed with a superhero chaser, My new favorite.
