- This tree-like yucca is an extremely ornamental, slow-growing evergreen, with a perfectly symmetrical pom-pom-like form. Its form includes hundreds of 2 foot long leaves. The leaves have sharp points and are an attractive pale blue-green color. The rosette of leaves sits at the top of the trunk. The trunk is covered with the remains of old leaves which are soft fibers.
- Beautiful yellow-orange stalks appear at the top of the plant in late spring. The stalks have clusters of white flowers. This tree-like plant has leaves that are soft, unlike other varieties of yucca, making this a less dangerous plant.
- One of the hardiest trunk-forming yuccas, it tolerates cold up to zone 5. While full sun is ideal, it tolerates part shade so long as it gets at least three hours of sun. The common name 'Big Bend Yucca' arises from this species being found in its natural habitat of the Big Bend are of the Rio Grand River.
- Big bend yucca needs to grow in full sun for best results. Place it in a well-lit spot in your backyard. As a winter hardy plant, it’s suited to USDA Zones 5 through 11. While this yucca tolerates heat with no issues, it will need protection in times with consistent temperatures below -10°F (-23°C).

Mostly great, except one little annoyance

Pros- lightweight, small, very accurate, easy to clean, timer included.
Cons- I use this to brew espresso on my Breville Touch and to get an accurate reading, you have to place something flat (structured) under the scale. Otherwise the reading just jumps all over the place. I know lot of espresso machines have the same base, so this might be an issue for some!
This is my reason for 4/5 stars. It’s an easy fix, it’s just kind of annoying. Value for the price seems to be on point. It’s easy to clean. It has a timer as well as scale (nice for espresso). Buttons work the first time you push them.

Beautiful, functional, and perfect for a stylish coffee bar
I absolutely love this scale. As someone who cares about both function and aesthetics, this was exactly what I was looking for. Great scale, an excellent buy

Is it possible to fall in love with a scale? I unboxed this one and, without reading any directions, put an empty 1/4 cup on it, turned the scale on, filled the 1/4 cup with coffee beans till I had the desired 17 or so grams, and turned the scale off. Easy-peasy! It’s small but sensitive, able to tell when a single bean has been added or removed. I almost didn’t get it because of the charging issue, but at least it tells you what the current charge is, and the way I use it I believe it will last several months without recharging. I’m so glad I bought this scale!

Simple yet easy must have for discerning coffee drinkers

I seem to never get the same results from my coffee machine and it varied even more with the new brand that we just bought. I now have to make more adjustments with the water temperature, based on age, type of beans, etc. That affects the amount of ground dispensed and consistency in the shot until I get a new batch dialed in.
So the only way to regulate these changes is to weigh both the beans and water. Using this little scale has made things easier, less frustrating and more predictable.
What’s awesome is that it will automatically begin the timer with the first drop and stop when the pressure remains constant.
Simple yet easy and super convenient. If you are looking for a great little digital scale this should do the trick. Highly recommended.
