Portulaca molokiniensis is an intriguing succulent, prized for its thick, upright stems and fleshy, spiraling leaves of a vibrant light green. It adds an exotic, sculptural touch to any indoor space.
Origin: Portulaca molokiniensis is native to Hawaii, more precisely to the island of Molokini, where it grows in rocky and arid environments.
Growth: Portulaca molokiniensis grows slowly to moderately. It forms erect stems that can reach about 15 to 30 cm in height, with a compact, architectural habit.
Flowers: Produces small yellow cup-shaped flowers that appear at the tips of the stems, usually in spring or summer, depending on growing conditions.
Light: Prefers direct light or bright artificial light. Good sunlight is essential to maintain its compact shape and encourage flowering.
