Its deep green foliage and long-lasting flowers make it a year-round favourite.
Plant Care
Light: Bright indirect light is best. Too little light = no flowers; too much sun = scorched leaves. I find these do well in an east-facing window.
Watering: Water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry. Anthuriums like evenly moist soil, but not soggy—cut back a little in winter.
Temperature: 18 to 27°C is ideal.
Potting: A well-draining chunky mix is ideal. Our Super Chonk or Airy Aroid mix is a great choice.
Hot tips: Wipe leaves regularly to keep them glossy and pest-free. Feed monthly with a high-potassium fertiliser to encourage flowering. Deadhead faded blooms at the base to keep the plant tidy.
