Anthurium Queen Warocqueanum – The Regal Velvet Leaf Anthurium

A Stunning Focal Point for Rare Plant Collectors

Anthurium Queen Warocqueanum, often referred to as the Queen Anthurium, is one of the most elegant and highly prized Anthurium varieties. This long-leaved beauty is adored for its rich, velvety texture and elongated, cascading foliage, making it an undeniable statement plant.

Majestic Foliage & Growth Habit

The standout feature of Anthurium Queen Warocqueanum is its massive, dark green, velvety leaves, which can grow up to 4 feet long in optimal conditions. These pendulous, strap-like leaves feature bright silver veining, giving them a luxurious and regal appearance.

This epiphytic species thrives when grown in a well-draining, airy potting mix, and it benefits from being mounted or placed in a deep pot with a moss pole to mimic its natural growing habit.

Care Requirements for Long-Term Growth

While stunning and unique, the Queen Anthurium requires some specific care to reach its full potential. It thrives in high humidity (60-80%), prefers bright, indirect light, and needs consistent moisture while avoiding overwatering. When properly cared for, it rewards plant lovers with exquisite, elongated foliage that continues to impress.

Why It’s a Plant Collector’s Dream

✔ Dramatic, Oversized Leaves: A true statement piece with velvety texture.
✔ Regal & Rare: One of the most sought-after Anthurium species.
✔ Tropical Elegance: Creates a lush, luxurious ambiance in any space.

For plant enthusiasts who appreciate dramatic, high-impact greenery, Anthurium Queen Warocqueanum is the ultimate crown jewel of any collection.

Very basic
Format: Paperback
The idea of the book is to be condensed and concise but there is too much information that should be expanded on that is not. The writers of this book seem to think students using the book have a strong pediatric background but for FNPs that isn’t always the case. I found myself having to do research outside of the book to understand the chapters. Also there were many typos and mislabeled diagrams.

Poorly written
Format: Paperback
I had to get this for my class. I wish I had a different textbook because it is poorly written, does not explain details, hard to follow the sentences in a certain sections, A LOT of typos (totally misspelled name of the disease). I don't think this is very good textbook material.
