The stems have three wing-like angles and carry short, sharp spines as well as leaves. Eventually the plant grows into a densely and compactly branched erect shrub or small tree of two metres or more.
• Euphorbia trigona is widely cultivated as a pot plant. with stems and leaves flushed purplish-red and some bronzish-green). The leaves are often darker red in this clone and the stems greener for a lovely bicolored look.
• Given time you can expect your new plant to reach eight to ten feet in height. A single 7 foot plant can weigh well over one hundred pounds. Perfect for container growing on a balcony or patio. These unique plants are easy and fun to grow simply water when dry.
• The growth rate of Red Cathedral will vary greatly depending on soil type, sunlight, temperature and other factors. A few leaves are often trimmed prior to shipping to reduce transpiration and travel stress.
