Scientific Name: Anthurium clarinervium
Common Names: White-veined Clarinervium, Queen Anthurium, Velvet Cardboard Anthurium

  • A unique addition to a houseplant collection
  • Rare black & dark green colouring with silvery veins
  • Care Easy and easy to grow, no advanced skills required
  • Gorgeous statement plant
  • Plant level: Easy

Add texture, variety and quirk to your houseplant collection by welcoming this unique floral gem into your home. From the dense rain forests of southern Mexico, this Anthurium adds an exotic feeling in any setting.

Generating flowers on long stems that have the characteristic "spathe and spadix" of Anthurium genus, this plant is primarily appreciated for its dramatic foliage, producing numerous, long-lasting leaves per year. You'll be amazed at their texture - does it feel like leather? Or cardboard? And the silvery, slightly fuzzy-hairy features only add to the quirk.

Mother Natures imagination... manifest.

FUN FACT: Anthurium Clarinervium contains both male and female sexes on its flowers. To prevent self-pollination, nature ensures that the receptive female parts mature before the male pollen part, encouraging the likely pollination by a different plant.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these instructions to keep your Anthurium houseplant healthy and happy.

Water: Keep soil moist but not waterlogged during the growing season (Spring-Summer) and allow the top of the soil to dry out slightly between watering, during the dormant period (Autumn-Winter).
Light: Medium to Bright Indirect Light. Anthuriums burn easily, so prevent direct beaming sunlight. Can tolerate lower light conditions during dormancy.
Humidity: Will appreciate high humidity environments, such as bathrooms or close to a kitchen sink. Dry air will cause leaves to dry and brown around the edges.
Fertilize: Regular yet dilute fertilizing during the growing season (Spring-Summer), every 2 weeks, cutting back to once a month during dormancy.

Perfect for MB
Size: 5 Quart (Pack of 2), Style: Full Synthetic, Configuration: 0W-40
Mercedes certified - this oil is very nice, no need to drop loads on oil from MB or the other pricier brands, this stuff works very well.

Works great never had a problem
Size: 5 Quart, Style: Full Synthetic, Configuration: 0W-40
I've been using this mobile one in my 2005 Mercedes kompressor C230 w203 1.8 engine for about 18 years and never had a problem so I will continue to use it. The price was very good compared to other places but I did have to order one extra quart, I don't know why they don't make this mobile one in a six quart jug.

Great for my hot rod!
Size: 5 Quart, Style: Full Synthetic, Configuration: 0W-40
Perfect oil for my hot rod! Add a bottle of zinc and you get great low temp flow as well as good heat protection. As a 0W it flows quickly for good start up protection and the 40W means I get good protection as temps rise. My car has a flat tappet hydraulic cam so I add a bottle of zinc. Has worked great!

European oil… Japanese engine… zero regrets 🇪🇺➡️🇯🇵
Size: 5 Quart, Style: Full Synthetic, Configuration: 0W-40, Size: 5 Quart, Style: Full Synthetic, Configuration: 0W-40
Yes, I know what the label says. “European Car Formula.” Yes, I put it in a 2002 Subaru WRX bugeye with an EJ257 block and EJ205 heads. And yes—this oil absolutely slaps. This engine is not stock, not delicate, and definitely not living an easy life. It sees spirited driving, boost, and the occasional questionable decision. After switching to Mobil 1 0W-40, cold starts are smoother, oil pressure is rock solid, and the motor just feels happier. No weird noises, no drama, no oil consumption surprises. The viscosity is perfect for a performance Subaru build, especially if you’re running tighter tolerances or want strong protection under heat and load. It’s thick enough when hot, flows great when cold, and inspires confidence every time I turn the key. Is it technically “European”? Sure. Does my Subaru care? Not even a little. If you’re running a built engine, turbo setup, or just want a proven, high-quality oil that punches above its weight, this stuff earns its reputation. My bugeye may not be European, but it’s living its best life on this oil. Would absolutely buy again—passport not required.
