Philodendron bipennifolium ‘Jerry Horne’ is a striking climbing Philodendron known for its elongated horse-head shaped foliage and strong tropical appearance. The glossy green leaves develop dramatic lobes and a more sculptural form as the plant matures, giving it a bold jungle look that stands out in rare indoor plant collections. Compared to standard bipennifolium forms, ‘Jerry Horne’ is known for its narrower, more elongated foliage and vigorous climbing growth habit.
This plant is widely believed to be a hybrid form connected to Philodendron bipennifolium, with some collectors suggesting possible pedatum influence in its shape and growth. It grows best when given a support pole or totem, which encourages larger and more mature foliage over time.
Philodendron bipennifolium originates from the tropical rainforests of South America, where it naturally climbs trees in warm humid conditions with filtered light and good airflow.
