They have 2-foot-long leaves which are fairly stiff and narrow (2-4 inches) and slightly concave towards the middle. They will tolerate more water during the growing season, as long as the soil is well-drained. Their bright, tropical appearance makes them perfect for planting in transitional zones between hot dry areas to more shaded or protected locations near patios or entryways.
