Luxurious marbled foliage for a statement indoor jungle
Monstera deliciosa var. Borsigiana Variegata M | Fast EU shipping | Grown with love in the EU | Pet-toxic
Summary: This variegated Monstera features dramatic white and green split leaves, turning any space into a high-end botanical haven—easy to care for and utterly show-stopping.
✨ Why You'll Love the Monstera Borsigiana Variegata
- Bold marbled foliage with creamy white variegation—each leaf is uniquely patterned
- Elegant and architectural growth ideal for stylish German apartments
- Moderately easy care for a variegated tropical gem
- Purifies indoor air and uplifts any living space
- Average height: 40–60 cm | Growth: Upright, vining habit—great for moss poles or support stakes
🌞 Light & Placement
Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain crisp variegation. Avoid full direct sun, which can scorch leaves. Ideal near east or north-facing windows with filtered light.
💧 Water & Humidity
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil dries. Needs moderate to high humidity—mist regularly or use a pebble tray or humidifier, especially in winter.
🪴 Soil & Potting
Plant in an aroid mix rich in orchid bark, chunky compost, and perlite for airflow. Repot every 1–2 years in spring when root-bound, adding support for climbing growth.
🐾 Toxicity & Safety
Toxic to pets and humans if ingested due to calcium oxalate crystals. Keep out of reach from curious cats, dogs, and children.
🌱 Growth & Propagation
Moderate growth rate, slower than non-variegated types. Propagate using stem cuttings with at least one variegated node, ideally in water or sphagnum moss during warmer months.
📆 Seasonal & Special Care
Rotate and prune occasionally to maintain shape and encourage new variegated leaves. Fertilize monthly in spring and summer with a balanced liquid feed diluted to half strength.
🐛 Common Issues
Leaf yellowing or brown edges may indicate low humidity or irregular watering. Avoid overfertilizing, which can reduce variegation. Monitor for spider mites and treat with neem oil if needed.
🧬 Botanical Background
The Monstera deliciosa var. Borsigiana is a compact cultivar of the classic Swiss cheese plant, originating from Central American rainforests. This rare variegated version is a prized collector’s choice in European plant circles.
