Care Tips
🌞 Light: Prefers bright indirect light but adapts to lower light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn.
💧 Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can cause root rot.
💦 Humidity: Tolerates average household humidity, but a humidifier can encourage optimal growth.
🌡 Temperature: Ideal range is 18°C to 24°C. Keep away from cold drafts.
🌱 Soil: A well-draining mix of coco coir, coco chips, and perlite is recommended.
🪴 Support: Naturally grows upright and does not require support.
🌿 Fertiliser: Controlled-release fertiliser is included in the potting mix. Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser monthly during the growing season.
🚫 Toxicity: Toxic to pets if ingested. Keep out of reach of animals.
📌 Important Note: The variegation in ‘Akebono’ is temperature-sensitive. The plants in stock may display different phases of colour depending on their age and the time of year. This is perfectly normal and adds to the uniqueness of each plant.
