This wonderfully interesting houseplant is really stunning with its dark, forest green and white flecked variegation - we really love it! This Dieffenbachia is also known as the Dumb Cane plant- for a fascinating reason! This houseplant produces a poison in its leaves that can temporarily numb the vocal cords if it’s eaten - hence the name Dumb Cane! Don’t feel intimidated - just don’t eat it! Certainly a good bit of trivia for a dinner party though!
It’s an absolutely gorgeously stylish houseplant - and it brings to your home the style of a similar plant such as variegated Monstera while being a little easier to care for - it doesn’t require such constant humidity. It really is a show-stopper with its wonderful variegation - there is almost nothing like it even amongst other large-leaved variegated houseplants. Not surprising it’s so sought after for magazine shoots and other photographic events!
The cane plant will look amazing in any room - it has the additional advantage of being really good at cleaning the air, so it will benefit your mental and physical health to have it around the house! It would make a great addition to any houseplant collection and indeed an amazing part of a forest bathing experience!
We’ll include a free, handwritten card with your delivery if you buy this plant as an indoor plant gift - just leave your gift message at checkout and we’ll arrange the lovely surprise! No paperwork left in either!
